Find your way home

"IT JUST FELT LIKE HOME" is a common response among men and women religious when asked how they knew which community was right for them. The chance to visit a community and meet members face to face can be a life-changing experience. It is without question an essential step in your discernment.

Communities offer many ways to get to know their members and learn about their spirituality and way of life, including prayer nights, meet-and-greet days, come-and-see weekends, spiritual retreats, and educational and service programs.

We encourage you to take advantage of these opportunities. You will gain insight into yourself and the community. Most important, you will get a better sense of where God is calling you.

To find opportunities in your area or among the communities to which you feel drawn, go to VISION's Opportunity Calendar, or go through VocationMatch.com to see which of your matching communities have posted opportunities on VISION (if a community has an upcoming event, you will see a little chainlink icon running along the top of the listing).

Important note to Vocation Directors: Don't forget to post your upcoming discernment, service, and educational events on VISION's website. Click here to do so. It's quick and easy!
